Fleming Studios ("Fleming Studios," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Aerion weather application ("Aerion" or the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information Aerion accesses, how it is used, when it may be shared with service providers, and the choices available to you.
Aerion may request your device's location so it can determine weather for your current location and select relevant nearby weather observation stations. Location may include approximate or precise geographic coordinates, depending on the permission you grant and the information provided by your device.
Aerion uses location information for weather-related functions including current conditions, forecasts, alerts, radar, and other location-based features. When necessary to obtain weather data, coordinates or a selected location may be transmitted to weather, mapping, or data services used by Aerion.
Aerion can store locations and app preferences on your device so the App can remember your selected locations and settings. These locally stored items are not an Aerion user account profile.
Weather requests may include information needed by the applicable service to return weather data, such as geographic coordinates, a selected location, or a weather station identifier.
Aerion does not sell your personal information.
Aerion may send location or weather-request information to third-party services that provide weather, mapping, radar, forecast, or related data used by the App. Those services process information according to their own policies and terms.
Aerion may use publicly available weather information from sources including the U.S. National Weather Service (NWS) and NOAA. Aerion is an independent application and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the U.S. Government, NWS, or NOAA.
The current version of Aerion does not intentionally include third-party advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
Aerion's saved locations and preferences are stored locally on your device. Aerion does not currently require an Aerion user account.
You can remove locally stored Aerion data by using Android's app-data controls or by uninstalling Aerion, subject to information that may remain temporarily in normal device backups or records maintained independently by third-party services.
Weather-service requests are handled by the applicable third-party service. Retention by those services is governed by their respective privacy policies and practices.
Fleming Studios takes reasonable steps to protect information handled by Aerion. Network communications are intended to use secure transport where supported by the applicable service. No electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Aerion is a general-audience weather application and is not directed specifically to children. We do not knowingly request personal information from children for user accounts or profiles.
We may update this Privacy Policy when Aerion's data practices or applicable requirements change. The updated policy will be posted at the same public policy URL with a revised effective date.
